Now I go to log on and its so dam slow that my computer times out or it will spin indicating its loading then several minutes later the screen will automatically close out and the window to the dictionary will open. Plus its supposed to happen AUTOMATICALLY. I had a couple reminders to install surf rf but i was very busy didnt do it. This happens CONSTANTLY!!!! Due to the fact I was unaware that my computer was dead AGAIN when the automatic software update was scheduled. I use it for 30mins, come back a couple days later and its dead. My MacBook Air runs out of battery all the time My husband bought me a brand new MacBook Air. How is installing Big Sur over Big Sur a downgrade? Did Apple pull 11.5.1 because they know it's defective, and reverted it back to 11.5.0? I don't want 11.5.1 anymore, it even ruined Safari and I don't know what else.Ĭan someone please help me restore this thing without having to start completely over? So please tell me how I can get my battery life back by installing MacOS again? And what does it mean that reinstalling MacOS Big Sur over Big Sur is a "downgrade"? That is very suspicious to me. That still seems like a lot of battery life left but considering I usually got around 40-50 hours of battery on my usage and never had to charge for a full 3 days, having to charge now 1 3/4 days now I was quite taken aback. I should be at around 88-90% battery if I go by my routine for the past two weeks since this Macbook arrived, but I am almost download to 70% after just 9 hours minimal use. I am not the only one experiencing this battery drain. If anything, I use this less because the battery life is horrible now. I am now getting a day and a half, if that, of battery life without changing my routine. I haven't installed anything or changed my habits where I was getting 3 days battery life on one charge. So, I went through the process of reinstalling MacOS but when I get to the portion where it says chose a volume, it says "Not able to downgrade." So now I am at the mercy of just another laptop with horrible battery life. The battery life took a big hit and I am no longer seeing good battery life any longer. I want to reinstall McOS Big Sur because 11.5.1 caused me to hate my new M1 Macbook Pro.
